    Hello forum!

    I Got this m43 cap from an estate in germany together with some other ww2
    German items..
    But dont know which branch this cap would have been. It is blue with what appears to Once have been White piping but yellowed over the years..
    No marks under sweatband... Is it luftwaffe or panzer or police??
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello Ullergaard,
    WWII EM caps didn't have any piping, officer's caps had silver-coloured basket-weave piping, gerneral's caps gold-coloured basked-weave piping.

    This, IMHO, is a post war cap - look at the (gold-coloured?) buttons, the leather sweatband going all around the inside etc.

    Perhaps one of the specialists can tell you exactly which organization at the cap was for.
