    Thanks for the nice images. You can be very proud. I would leave the Hoheitszeichen the way it is. Maybe the man was a sympathizer of Stauffenberg and did so as soon as practical in May '45 or his family was like many who followed the denazification strictures. The thing has its complete history and is a real gem. It has no reason to be mint. I would clean it to the minimum degree that the dirt does not degrade it, but you can be very happy with this item. Thanks for sharing it with us.
