    Hi everyone, just got this Hermann Potthoff Muetzenfabrik of Coesfeld Visor in from Germany...Looks good to me,but ive heard these have been faked..any help would be appreciated

    Good one--looks like the Officer cut off the flap to cover the vent holes in winter. Does it have the cut-outs on the side of the wreath?

    Thanks Stonemint Your opinion is always valued,as are all of the amazing headgear you post...No it doesnt have any on the sides of the wreath, the wreath is a loose fit,seems to have been fitted that way

    In the thread "the Rosetta Stone" etc. post 27 you can see a leaflet from Potthoff about this Frischluft-system.
    They were the only ones who made caps with this system! Now you may understand the leaflet.......I did upload the leaflet for
    this thread also.
    Note the same DRGM-number, to be found upon the leaflet and in the inner of the sweat-ciamond. Potthoff was a so-called
    Allein-Hersteller!

    No, not rare, but not a common find, especially the ones with the Frischluft system in place.
    IMO, they are one of the unsung makers of the TR era.
