Got it-- the "holes" you are referring to are ventilation grommets.
You are correct, I do not see any holes for the chinstrap buttons.
It may be a cap that was unissued, it that it never made it to retail.
Gotcha. Thanks for the information. I am still trying to procure the correct eagle / wreath for Bahnschutz. They are indeed a bit tougher to come by.

Your insight into all of this is most appreciated.

So it looks like I found an eagle and wreath (separately) for Bahnschutz

The eagle and wreath (looks like there may be blood or something on the wreath) are found separately here Bahnschutz Visor Cap Eagle | Third Reich Insignia | For Sale Items

Bahnschutz Visor Cap Wreath | Third Reich Insignia | For Sale Items

I also found another wreath (apparently) here German WWII Unissued Bahnshutz Visor Wreaths - Relics of the Reich

Are both of these sites reputable? Let me know. Your assistance is much appreciated

    Thank you!

    Michael

Thanks I'll look into getting the eagle from the one site and the unissued wreath (cheaper) from the other.
