Hi pantherv,
Nice cap again.Thought it looked like a field conversion and nice to know it is after all.I have one photo of the silk liner with no mark on the blue cap but none with the sides pulled down i'm affraid.

Hi militarymania,
Thank's for the input as any opinion is worth a fortune to me.I would still have access to these caps if i really wanted them but you know how it is when your unsure
Tom
Hi guys,
The interior band of this cap matchs other WWII styles i have seen on other websites.I hope this could be a good sign it may be real but still sounds too cheap.May go for some more photos
Tom
I think the blue cap is probably okay, though I would like to have it in hand.
It is not the best swastika, I will say - these are generally sharp.
And from the picture, the chinstrap seems in much better shape than the reinforcing trim around the visor.
At $1,400 (was that the price?) it is probably a decent value.
As I have mentioned before, KM is not my forte.
But to add to what Bruce has mentioned about the cap eagle and the swastika in particular. Badly exucuted swastikas are not generally a good sign. But I will offer this one from my collection. It came from a Canadian veteran and as you can see it is what our US cousins would term "salty" (ie. Well used)
Cheers, Ade.
You know, there is still something bothering me about the blue cap.
Tom, could you provide a close-up of the visor braid and the leather brim reinforcement, please.
