    And the weirdest of all. KM junior officer cap with regular scalloped visor edging but chin cords instead of leather chinstrap !

    Terrific thread. I agree, there is too much obsession with matching insignia on KM lids.
    I had one with celleon oakleaves on the visor and bullion eagle/wreath--all were original to the hat.
