Default Late war (?) ErEl 2

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

here is another one for the specialists. Again I think this is an original late war ErEl. I have, however, never seen that ErEl joins the piping of the centerband in such a sloppy way by simply sowing the centerband + piping together so that the piping is "eaten" by the back seam (normally a dead sure indication of a fake). The cap is presently being auctioned at ebay.de here:
Luftwaffe Offizier Erel Schirmm (for more pictures). Here is what I mean: Late war ErEl (?) 2Late war ErEl (?) 2

Unfortunately one cannot see how the two other rings of piping join. Anyway this is the sloppiest ErEl I have ever seen.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the seam of the centerband normally is at the front of the cap, not at the back.

I agree, I have never seen that type of piping "connection" on any Erel.
This is one of those late-late war LVA visor that are unmarked on the lining, of which I have had a few, but never like this.

Late-war sloppy craftsmanship, that is for sure.

If the cap band is joined at the back rather than the front then this is a red flag for me. Also the fact it may be going the rounds speaks volumes.
Agree its the poorest made Erel I have ever seen.............maybe Mr Lubstein didn't make it ?

    Just an opinion.

    cheers
