Jason- Student uniform with the assorted medals --$42K! The uniform is great but shows wear-- The one I want is his formal uniform with white lapels - They all came out together and this uniform was his daily wear.
    WOW
Thanks...that is pricey, but how often does one find a piece named to such an important figure in the Luftwaffe? I've seen his kleiner rock but never knew how much that was. Certainly more than the tunic. Either is a great piece of history.

Completely disagree on the value for the Keiper tunic. It was listed for years at $10,500 and went unsold. Now it's at a different dealer for nearly $18k. It's drastically overpriced.

    That said, a beautiful uniform.

How much is the Student uniform on the VG site? I haven't asked because I already know it's out of my current spending limits.

You're probably right, I even partially agree, but if a collector had to have such of an decorated and named example where else would he find another, especially for under 11k? As I'm sure you know, something is only worth what one is willing to pay. I'm quite sure, eventually, this tunic will sell for big bucks, probably to someone with more money than brains as others say. Maybe not for the asking price, but likely well above the original asking price you speak of.
Question; who was the other dealer? Did he have the ability to reach as many collectors as Bill does? Or even the reputation so that a buyer feels a false sense of security that whatever he buys, it will be good? In my opinion these circumstances are noteworthy, as well dictate an items value and whether it will sit for years unsold or sell in only a few months.

Youthcollector1-- Good point- However I feel that the value of the item is determined by the one who owns it-- Not the person who wants to buy it! What do you think?

I do agree, as the current owner is the one who sets the asking price. However, it's not until someone pays an amount, Imo, that an item has actually established its value. I guess what I'm trying to say is the buyer and owner set the value of an item, at least for these collectables; such isn't always the case in life, example items that are a necessity like gas. If there wasn't someone willing to pay 18k for some old military clothes I can assure you these dealers wouldn't be investing their money into them.

The cap is a stunning one lookeer. Thank you for sharing this item with us. Luftwaffe general officer's caps have always been difficult to find. Even in the old days when material was plentiful, Heer general officer caps were far more common to own than a Luftwaffe general officer's. I never had the opportunity to own one.
