Luftwaffe Officers Visor cap

hello,

I have researched this cap and can find Luftwaffe flight officers caps but I can not find an example with the alum eagle. I am 90 percent this is original? I want to make sure before I buy.

With aluminum eagle and cockade, it is for OR's so possibly the buttons and strap have been 'upgraded' to an officer ?

Looks to be in unissued, mint condition if it is genuine............

Hi Guys, not quite right. It is an Officers quality cap, note the silver piping and cap cords, but the insignia is from an other ranks/NCO's cap.

I am not convinced this is an original cap.

I tend to agree with you Ade, that wool does not look right, it reminds me of the caps that you can get from Jim @ RZM..........

I am not convinced with that one, especially as it purports to be 70 years old!

hello all,
I thought i was correct on the hat and was iffy on the insignia (like you all stated above). Well I asked the seller to confirm that the insignia was original to the hat and he sent me pictures of the eagle and then stated that shipping to US was to much and he withdrew my bid. here is the email text -
Seller CONDOR_39 deleted your offer for the following auction:

I guess we caught him - another one bites the dust.

Hat is a 100% original late-war Carl Halfar. Note the compressed-paper visor. Insignia is probably original to the cap--I have seen this on a few other Halfar "depot queens."

thanks for the info - my question - these hats are worth thousands - why would this be offered for 475 euro? and then when I asked if the insignia is real - the seller cancels my bid. actions speak louder than words.
