I'm no expert on such caps, but the stamps seem remarkably clean and bright. Compare to these two examples and look at the difference in the font size, note the style of the number '9' too. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of this piece.

Hello, for me too many stamps and on the lower part, where there is sweat, it's not possible, markings must be up.

Its very hard comparing black to white stamping really, white will retain its color much easier against a dark background so i would not use that as an indicator.
Personally I think it is a good LW mechanics cap its not unusual to see them heavily stamped.

Some more examples of the 'SPRENGPFEIL' stamp... look at the layout of the font, it is totally different than that shown in the mechanics cap.

I believe the cap to be 100% legit, the abbreviation of Fl. T. S. Ju. would be for the Höhere Fliegertechnische Schule Jüterborg:
here is a photo of the ruins of the Jüterborg Schule post-war. A quick internet search on 'Google' should furnish more results....

Why is the manufacturer's stamp so different than the one used in the images I posted? How many styles of stamp did they use?
