Muetzenfabrik

Article about: F.B. Reichenbach is about 10 km (6 miles) away from me. If you want, I'll make a photo of the building. If it is still standing.

Erel, great post. Until I read that, I did not know that Opolka and Muller used the Hammaburg logo--it had always been a mystery maker to me.
Second, I have seen either tunics or visors marked to Wilmink in Plettenburg--they were a retail shop, and apparently survived the war (as did Opolka).

Here is a Rechnung for Wilmink I found on the web:
Very interesting info!! Thanks Stonemint and Friedrich B.

Here is the Opolka & Muller add. "Haus Hammaburg".

    Default Robert Lubstein

Here is yet another Rechnung for a Luftschutz Stahlhelm, fom the Robert Lubstein company with a different letterhead. This one is from September 1939, probably shortly after they moved to the "Erelhaus" at the Heinrich Roller Str. It is marked with a stamp " Unsere neue Adresse lautet" = Our new adress is.

    a very interesting document.

In the note to the approvals has fallen in the eyes of some.
    A1 / 81 known only L6 / .....

(L6 = production of Crash Helmet DE - EN translation !!!
    2 = see company name)

    indeed ..
the small index letter "b" after the 2

In other areas, D2 / B18 or M8 etc me these small index letters are known.

Only in this case in the Crash Helmet approvals , I find no answer.

    Wer kann Helfen ...

    Hugo,
I had always thought that when the letter appeared with the RZM item code it was a sub-division of that item's category and that when it was added to the manufacturer's code number it indicated that they held more than one licence for that category. I suspect that Wim may know the answer.

MuetzenfabrikMuetzenfabrikThe crash helmets were leather items and hence had to have a leather goods license number in contrast to the A1 license for normal head wear.

I think Wim says as much in the NSKK part of his nice book on Allgem. SS and NSKK headwear.

Mr. Derek is correct that certain firms had multiple licenses according to the specific item made. See here.

    Siehe da: L6 = Sturzhelmfabriken.

Whoops. I misread this. The answer must also be in the Mitteilungsblatt.

Having said that it, it's hard to imagine that Friedrich Steingenberger had 6 licences!

The sub classification is much clearer when it comes to the category of item as seen here for shirts.

First of all thanks to all who have read my post.

So it was only a further specification, as already happens in D2. (Theoretically, the letter "b" so right L6 b / 2) ....

Thanks again, for your food for thought ...
