Muetzenfabrik

Article about: F.B. Reichenbach is about 10 km (6 miles) away from me. If you want, I'll make a photo of the building. If it is still standing.

Bravo, Patrick, and said cap was costly in 1944. Very interesting.

It is an interesting item, I wonder where Whammond finds things like this. Perhaps you could find receipts like this under the sweatbands of caps?

    Cheers, Patrick

Interesting links about Küntzel. Amazing, that he uses vintage sewing machines from the twenties and that there is still a market for this kind of craftmanship.
But then the Germans do love their caps (just a simple observation - no ulterior motive. I see more sailing caps being worn by Germans than in any of their neighbouring countries. And that with a collective German coastline of app 5oo metres).

Notice the loving care with which the visors and berets were shipped--no individual boxes & no wrapping paper:

A wonderful insight into the firm Bachmanns and also the firm Kubach of Mainz, another prolific maker during the TR era.
