Hi All, I was thinking that every headgear collection should include a side/soft cap, so I just picked up this really nice M40 luft side cap from one of our sponsers espenlaub, got free shipping and 15% off for being a forum member! I know this isnt a rare or super expensive item but I think its in really nice shape! it may be a private purchase? the lining seems golden instead of the norm blue grey, how does it look to you guys? any info you can give on the maker or construction would be appreciated as always

Because the eagle is not sewn on in the way I would associate with being period applied.

It's not a bid deal but does effect the value slightly.

I will post better and more detailed pictures when I get it, it looks to be in really good minty shape, not sure why the eagle would have needed to be restored, I can always return it if thats the case. I paid a smidge over 300 for it.
