My new Heer infantry field visor cap (Feldmutze alter Art)

Hi all, just thought I would share this field cap I recently acquired. Euphemistically, it is "salty" Despite the wear I think it is a fine cap and presented a good opportunity to add such an example to my collection. Any thoughts or insights are always appreciated.

Salty? It is held together by salt! I'd leave it as is. Take good care of it and try not to handle it too much. You might want to invest in a decent hat box and covered display.

Haha, yes, it's been around but the price was quite good, I think. It is a solid piece in hand, actually. The visor is secure and its form and construction remain firm. The only unfortunate aspect is the holes on top.

Word of praise I do not take in passing. If you like this cap even with your 'stonemint' standards then I must have gotten a nice one
