Just recieved this today it is to a Heinz Steinmetz.
I will try and post a better shot of his name inside the cap when the light is better.

Great pick up! Always adds to have provenance with photos! I believe there is a thread with items that. Have photos of them in wear, that would be a good addition.

Notice how the black paint has rubbed off the chinstrap buttons on the cap and in the period photo of it, wonderful!

Short for his name the 00661 ? im not sure.
