Hi Mo, thats a reasonable Tropp, with the JHS maker logo, is the tri-colour in place, if not theres plenty of them about at decent prices, as for the edging that tends to happen to a lot of them, i missed out on one at a local fair £75 , edging missing as well, but it had both shields and looked good, had i managed to get it i would have replaced the trim

It has both shields. The other picture just didn't upload for some reason. This one will cost me about $150.

I don't mind the missing trim really. I like my helmets to have a salty look to them anyway.

I am on a mission to acquire one of every type of German headgear. I have a number of steel helmets, one visor cap, one overseas cap, (soon to have) one tropenhelm, but I am still on the hunt for an einheitsfeldmuetze.

Less then 25€ back in the late 70'ties...I remember a huge stock was found in the port of Antwerp.

I love these pith helmets, last night i was a reading an Osprey ebook, " Armor of the deutsches reich "and the photos it had were fantastic. The tropical uniform looks very cool.

Good and original 2nd pattern tropenhelm. My example is missing the trim and the strap, but I like used items, though I also have mint items.
