Ian Spring just posted these pix of a direct-embroidered Kreis and Gau visor in wear--note that even back then, the bullion was not a bright gold, but more of a bronze color:

Rossi- Thanks- I like the visor stands/pedistals better than a mannequins head-they don't detract from the visor -which is the artifact! I am going to have some made up in marble-see how that works out--
