Very nice. Have there been any books (written or translated in English) on these units? I would love to know more. Kris Anderson's site has one of these for sale though I know his site is controversial..

Sven Hassel was supposed to have been in a penal unit and I think his first book was autobiographical.

Hey stonemint, i noticed the quote you have. Didn't Hugo Boss design ss uniforms?? I heard that somewhere. Oh well, great cap ,and the penal units were pretty much cannon fodder.
