Nice score. From a purely aesthetic perspective, I always thought orange looked best on Police uniforms.

Looks very nice, doesn't look salty to me.

Very attractive overseas cap. The cloth is a higher quality and I like the name tag, a feature one does not often see in side caps.

That may be true, but you've got to love a color called "poison green" (giftgruen)!

I do not know where you got the expression giftgrün from?

In official regulations and the Ministerialblatt the green piping color is
phrased simply as hellgrün (RMBliV, 1937. Number 29, page 859-860 for example)
for Schutzpolizei des Reiches and weinrot for Schutzpolizei der Gemeinden.

    Gendarmerie was just as orange
    Gendarmerie-Bereitschaften as weiss
    Gemeindepolizei as weinrot
    Feuerschutzpolizei as karmesin
    Verwaltungspolizei as hellgrau.
Further existed for Abzeichentuch the colors:
    kornblumenblau for Medizinalbeamte
    schwarz for Veterninärbeamten
    gelb for Wasserschutzpolizei and
    hochrot for Verkehrsbeamte

All of these colors are included in the Polizei-Bekleidungsvorschrift (PBklV), III. Teil: Uniform-
    Anfertigunhsvorschrift
from July 14, 1939. The word giftgrün is not anywhere included.
I guess this word is an "invention" from dealer's from the USA and UK. It sounds so pretty, isn't?
