That's a very handsome cap Sir. That silk top cap is also stunning.
Cheers, Pat
Thanks. The silken field cap is quite remarkable, too. I am not especially interested in army field caps, but this one came from Richard P. and it was too novel to ignore.
I have seen many silken imperial caps, i.e. II. Reich caps, and this one is quite similar.
It is very light and nicely made, with great character, as well as the name of the owner and his unit.
Hi
reckon that FB has done particularly well this year what a superb haul.
I also got a few other caps that allowed me to finish my Reichswehr "caps in date order" theme.
This included a rare 1919 early field cap, nice transitional army cap circa 1933 and a panzerjager cap circa 1934 but issued in 1936.
Here they are from 1919 to 1935/36 in running order. Bottom row are the field caps.
Anybody else finish a collecting theme this year, that illusive piece to fit in the collection jigsaw ?
cheers
tony
Very nice. The Tyrolean SA are very interesting. Is the army cap a Propagandakompanie cap?
Thanks for the show and tell.

White piping. Maybe the light is not the best.
