yes indeed it is the same cap as pictured in the book. I managed to acquire the cap after Mike had photos taken for the book.

A very lucky turn of events for an exceptional piece. Thanks again for sharing such an item with us. I can easily imagine how many such caps as this were destroyed in war, and discarded as junk in its wake.
