    Just to keep the thread ticking over...........three more for the show,

    A 1917 circa field cap for medical personnel. It has the grey peak and chinstrap.

    Hi pat

    so you won it.............looks like a nice early cap. In the 1867 pattern by the look of things circa 1880 (ish). The style of the time was for the cap body to get higher and the cap to appear more tube like. A nice example judging by these pictures.

    the accompanying soldiers book will give dates of service etc. Look forward to your thread.
