    Hi pat

I've got it. Low on text but high on cap photos.

small format pics but covers a lot of cavalry regts with original examples. Look on amazon as well as it is worth having and you can get it at a discount.

The best part is the appenicies as they include a table of every regt and colour schemes for their caps. very thorough.

hope that helps...not seen a better book on pure caps for Imperial cavalry.

    cheers

    tony

    Pat

I just googled the thing and found it was £47 on Amazon!

It is not worth that much money, I paid £20 for mine and that was about right for the reasons chris said. look our for it ata cheaper price other wise don't bother.

    cheers

Pat--As a reference, this site is much better than that book:

Yeah thats a good website. I know Tony and he is a gentleman. He gave me the cokade to go on my visor.

I don't think I will get a copy of the book unless I see a very cheap copy for sale. I am saving for a nice cap like the ones you show. Though I can't seem to find any. What ebay do you search on?

    Cheers, Patrick

Hi Tony- what makes you think this is a stretcher-bearer's cap? To me, it looks like a standard field cap with a visor added, and possibly not even a real one at that...

    Hi Arron

The stretcher bearers caps were standard field caps with a visor and chin strap added.

What concerns do you have that makes you think this is not a real one ?

    cheers
