His collection is one of the world's best, and such items as these do not exist in open form in their country of origin, so that the many Europeans here on this site have a chance to see and understand these important pieces of the 20th century in their rich detail.

This is a Form 3 that may be a transitional visor. The piping is the bright red, as compared to the Form 4 weinrot. PL's were given a wear-out period of up to 1940 for the Form 3's. It is possible that the PL simply replaced his cords, buttons, and eagle and then switched to a Form 4 (& yes, the eagle could be a collector addition):

I'll add my few political visors. First is an Osteinsatz visor for officer, next is Reichsleitung and then form 111 Orts(possible Party Court as it is a very dark blue?), Kreis and Gauleitung and a Reichs level NSBO.

Very nice, refined material of great interest. Thanks. Also, there is no such thing other than in collector play land than an "Orts." It is Ortsgruppe as in the attached diagram from the Orgbuch d. NSDAP.

Stezelberger's caps with leather peaks from earlier years....The cap with the Gau Montur is a Lubstein.
