Postman's Schirmmutzen ( Peaked Cap )
Can anyone confirm if this cap is original. It is up for £200 and is described as "a peaked cap was worn by members of the German Post Office during the Third Reich period. The cap was produced by Peter Kupper and has the celluloid triangle intact. The original owners name is still attached to a name tag which is inserted in the celluloid traiangle. The branch of service piping and the lower edge of the cap has suffered with some moth damage. The size tag is also still attached the the leather sweatband which has dried."
