    From your images, it certainly appears to be a period original cap.

    It is always nice to get a good item cheaply.

    Not an M43 cap but an ORs' winter cap (Wintermütze) introduced late in 1942 / early in 1943.
    In spite of moths' minor tasting, a nice and original specimen.
