S A Standartenfuhrer Kepi

This is an early kepi that belonged to a standartenfuhrer of S A Gruppe Sudwest. The kepi is interesting as the officer was originally attached to a gruppe staff. Under the orange gruppe color is a red top designating staff. This is an early pre R Z M kepi of private purchase. The owner was evidently a frugile man. Note the leather chin strap. One side is stretched thin and nearly worn through while the other side has been replaced.
