...looks like it had 2 different eagles on it at one stage...you can see the colouration for a smaller ealier type...then the intentation of a larger one??

Yes, i saw that too, and you can see where there are several diff holes for diff eagles, and such.

Someone probably tried to replace it with the wrong type cap eagles.

Doesn't matter, still a very nice cap.

Yes, a complete one in great shape, but yours has some issues to it, Either moth, or dry rot above both vent holes on each side.

And yours is missing the original cap eagle, and button, but still a very nice cap.
