Side Cap Authentication

Hello all,

A friend and very decent fellow has asked my opinion on this side cap along with what I suspect may be a collar tab (posted elsewhere) that was acquired by his friend. I do not collect in the area nor have any real knowledge on the topic. So being the Christmas season of giving, and owing him a favour, I've agreed to post it here for the experts to assess. I am also encouraging him to join the WRF. Full disclosure, there may be a sale in the works here. Many thanks in advance for taking the time to comment.
