Hello Guys,
My associate was in a photo taking mood and asked me to show these off to you guys.
I suppose you all will be able to tell what is "unusual" about them - as I have no clue...
Regards,
Richie

Richie--is there no end to your associate's magic bag o' hats?!
First one is rare in that it is made by the same high-end tailoring house that tailored Hitler, v. Ribbentrop et al, Holters. I have never seen that style red lining on a Holters before, but I like it (perhaps the Artillery officer wanted his lid tailored in his 'farbe?!)
Second is a nice infantry crusher by one of my favorite unsung makers, Oskar Hertlein of Erlangen.
Third is a very rare piece--a crusher made in Riga, Latvia--first one by this maker I have ever seen.
Last one is by Schellenberg, but is distributor marked to Walter Bunn of Bromberg--I have only seen one other with this distributor marking.
Kudos to your associate on his refined colleting taste!....
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Dear Colleague,
Thanks so much for the identification and commentary.
I will forward all to my associate ASAP.
He is quite honored that all thus far appreciate and respect his vast collection.
I would think there will be more to come.
Regards,
Richie

The Latvian Alter Art cap is exceptionally rare and the Holters is...well...Wow!
PS, if he has one made in Lithuania, then I simply must have it!
Thanks for posting. That red-lined Holters' cap is a striking piece of headgear.

Amazing headgear! I love the Holters, the red lining just does it for me.
Cheers, Patrick
Of interest is, the only other red Holter's I've seen is this Postschutz that Oakleaf sold last year.
All formalities aside...
No sweat Dear Colleague.
Your appreciation and compliments are marked and forwarded.
Regards,
Richie
