as you may know these were field made so very made to say if its repro or not imho it is a repro mainly because there is little/no wear and the sttitching doesn't look right

Fake for sure. The metal gromments are wrong for this type of cap.

DEFINATELY repro, apart from the points mentioned , the peak is flat as a pancake and thin, open it up and ill bet its a piece of cardboard inside

All is wrong for that kind of hats, it must have very specific seams, the grommets are also reverse/obverse must be made mirror side
