SS Olympics visor and white Olympic uniforms

Article about: Two photos of the SS white top with black piping. I'm pretty sure they're known as SS Olympics caps Interesting to see one of them has the early skull.

This hat was for sale along with a tunic (which I can no longer find pictures of) that were attributed as being from the '36 Olympics. I was never able to confirm this type of hat in wear in any period photographs:

Another pic of the Guides w/ Jesse Owens ("Ohio" is for the university he attended, Ohio State).
Is anyone aware of any of these guides uniforms/caps in existence today?

The group picture shows on the left in the Swedish Cavalry uniform Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke af Västerbotten and his wife Sybille is in the middle. At the right could be Admiral Raeder. In the white uniform walks in the middle of the picture Oberst Litzmann, who has been in charge of the German cavalry schools and equestrian training. This is a picture of 1936 as the Swedish Prince participated in the Olympic show jumping competition in this same uniform. He was not successful his horse Aïda did refuse three times at obstacle number 13.

the two crossed swords on the right collar pad meant that this man belonged to the NSRK. ( National Socialistischen Reiter Korps) I must look in my archives I have somewhere the name of this man. So on a fast first look he is Hermann Leopold August von Oppeln-Bronikowski (2 January 1899 – 19 September 1966) who was an Olympic Dressage rider. Name of his horse was 'Gimpel'. Gold medal winner in the team competition.

The devices on the right collar patch seen in several photos on the first page are two crossed lances followed by the number "7" and mean that the wearers are members of the 7. SS-Reiterstandarte.

The man in the white uniform in the mixed group is a Scharführer of that SS unit.

The naval officer is not Raeder and no admiral.

SS Olympics visor and white Olympic uniformsThe Allgemeine SS had a number of equestrian units, as Andreas rightly points out. I had thought that the NS Reiter Korps was part of the SA, at one point.

Wim Saris can tell us for sure.

As I read around, I see that the NSRK was the Dachorganisation for all the equestrian units in SA, SS, HJ, and so forth and had the role and mission of standardized training for equestrian service at arms in the WH and SSVT. Aha!

I had not known that, per se. The article in the cornucopia, though, is not very good.

Where in the Org Buch is this statement? I have all of them, but my ennui with all of this is rather great today under the motto of bloody Sunday.

The entry on the NSRK is, for example, on page 372 in the 1937 edition and on page 373 in the 1943 one.

    To quote from said entries:

"Das Nationalsozialistische Reiterkorps wird in der SA-Reiterei gebildet, die über 80 Prozent der deutschen Reiterei umfaßt. Die Anmeldung hat bei den 'Meldestellen des NSRK' zu erfolgen, die bei sämtlichen SA-Reiter-Dienststellen eingerichtet sind."

["The National Socialist Riders' Corps is formed within the Equestrian SA, which incorporates more than 80 percent of German equitation. Enrolment is to be undertaken at the 'Registration Offices of the NSRK', which have been set up at all agencies of the Equestrian SA"]
