SS pith helme.. real or fake ??

Hello everyone I need help with this. Someone is trying to sell me this helmet for $800 and I am not sure if it is real or not. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. I believe the helmet is real but I don't know about the shields.

The shields should be made of aluminum. Also, known examples & period photos show the shield placement opposite sides as yours.
A total gamble buying one of these without provenance. Shields could have been switched over the last 75 years. Absolutely no way of knowing
