The prongs themselves are one big difference from originals & fakes. But agree with John also, especially "study originals".

On fakes/copies the runes tend to be blunt looking compared to originals and another thing to look for is the pebbling, on originals it looks random, whilst on the copies it looks more orderly, appearing to be in rows.

Don't put it in direct sunlight for a long period of time. It damages it if you keep it in direct sunlight, I own one.
