The odd thing about this cap is that it does not have the Kupper gusset, at least not in a way that I can find. It is a very real cap, though. It is also in a wonderful state of preservation save that
someone switched the Totenschaedel. This cap came via Whammond and then to collector X and then to Shea and then to.....?!
It does have extra padding from the peak behind the Stirndrueck area, though......
In fifty years, this is the first of this kind of thing I have owned. Some kind of something.
This cap came from here, Hechingen in the Schwaebische Alb, the seat of the Hohenzollern.
