Might be the pictures, but it looks to round,to high and to short...just; very different.

Nice helmet. Still happy with mine though.
Could someone tell me what these are normally constructed from, I have read they are made of cork or pith, while mine is made of weaved straw.
The one you show is a rescent copy.
Most original pith helmets where made of cork, but Germans also used partly felt and some sort of plastic.
