In case any of you are interested, Weitze has a mint unissued pre-war Beamte CW on his site right now for 1500 Euros. This has the earlier logo; the 1/2 fold-over/ 1/2 sewn sweatband; no stirndruckfrei; and a doeskin wool body. Note the peak is lower than my wartime example:

Note that the pre-war shade for Beamte by CW was more of an emerald color, similar to Erel's. During the war, it became the regulation badge-cloth colot:

Very interesting visual essay. I sold my Lubstein Beamter cap for far too little money. I actually had two, one of which had the foil tag still in it.....all for too little treasure and all to Shea......

here's my erel with vented ciockade for good measure.

Again notice the "lighter" green piping ...on a good day in sunlight could even claim it was a jager cap.
