I've never seen one in this condition, looks near mint! Great piece
Regards, Corey
yes, very minty! The adler looks to be the 'hammerhead' design
Your cap is superb.
Please note however that I spoke to a WW2 vet recently in the UK who bought a fez of similar vintage in 1943 in Egypt and he stated that "over time it just disintegrated". He could not explain why this happened as he had some other cloth stuff that was all fine.
Perhaps the Germans used a better production method than the Egyptians?
Good thing it wasn't stripped down like the one I showed. Nice fez!
That's a splendid piece most certainly of museum quality and basically untouched!!!
Guys, thank you all for the compliments. I should receive it by Friday the latest.
I always wanted one of these SS Fez's, but wasn't ready to buy one until I saw this specimen. I caught it the first day it was posted for sale. I originally wanted the field gray one, but this one is just too nice to pass up.
I just purchased an acrylic display case and can't wait to have it displayed!
Regards
Samir
A superb item in the best of conditions, well done

I really want one of these too.
Congrats, it looks like a nice piece.
A heck of a nice Fez! Hats off to good old Uncle Herb for sending it home!
