Look carefully inside the cap and you will probably see pin holes for the original police eagle device and the cockade. The Heer eagle attached to it probably did some damage to the front area unfortunately. When you get the replacement insignia be careful to locate the original insertion location. I did this with a Luftwaffe visor and successfully replaced the insignia in the original location. Cap badge pins are very fragile so it is important to get it right the first time. NH

    Hello Heil Hever,

According to regulations prongs from eagles and other insignia (when from aluminum)
should be able to bend at least 15 times before breaking. Maybe this interests you!
But it should be said, one should not bend them like a wild man!

Well said. I never knew that.

    Here a part from a manufacturing-regulation about the hat-insignia
for the RAD females. I also have it somewhere for males and it was
a general indication when the prongs were from pure aluminum.

Donnerwetter. The rule of "crimped prongs."
Your genius in this material is legion.
    We salute you.

Wow! Crimped prongs information! That was interesting. Weininger means less - so they should not be bent more than 15 times seems to be the warning as noted. Still with old material I'd be careful. Amazing documentation - that is just outstanding! NH

Crimped prong KNOWLEDGE, friends, KNOWLEDGE, and only here, to be sure. Our Wim Saris is a real miracle and
    an answer to our prayers.
