    Hi, I have not handled officers caps for several years, but I see no worries with this one myself. Nice "ribbed" peak underside. I may be wrong due to my time out of this area of collecting, but I think it is 100% ok. Leon.

    The only issue is the damaged sweatband. If you don't intend to wear it (it should be a size 58) this is no problem. Elegant shape, wonder who the maker was.

    nice looking original cap. Good call, sadly the paper thin sweatbands often split like this.

    BTW, it looks just like the 1st Artillery visor I ever had (thought it was it at first!)

    Yes it is! And a nice honest visor.

    The Forum is also a nice insurance policy. Not busting your chops but we to often see people buying first then asking for opinions. You got lucky this time. Next time....it might be a dud and then you have to try to get your money back.

    Yes, you are 100% right !

    I should have asked before purchasing but in this case, the seller is a close friend and told me he was ok to take it back.
