    The photos are:

    1. The owners details painted on the inside of the lid of the case.
    2. Lid and internal details of the case without the liner.
    3. Remains of label on the inside of the case lid.
    4. Case lid and securing clips.
    5. Close up of a securing clip and stencilled details.
    6. Base and front of case.

A nice peronalised ammo case in my opinion.

    Michael,

Would "like" but the button is gone for the time being. Really interesting piece. Something I would love to have in my collection.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

    [QUOTE=Michael Ryan;1200151]The photos show:

    1. Case as aquired with liner and contents and named to Leut Ulrich Dreyer. Someone has crossed out his details in pencil and written an inscription beneeth the pannel.
    2. Waffen Ampt, poor but still visible.
    3. Reverse of the case showing original hinges.
    4. Case end with rope handle.
    5. Oposite end showing remains of a label and repair plug?
6 Close up of the remains of the label.[/QUOTE

Michael, that is a well crafted box, that type of craftmanship has all but disappeared in todays world. What type of wood is it made from ? perhaps pine ? Love the dovetailing on the fitted ends. Great piece for the dog and pony show, thanks for sharing. Things almost large enough for my condoms......

Hi Fastfeet, Thank you for your comments!! With regards to condoms, may I suggest that you are either a big boy or very energetic or perhaps both?? With regard to the wood, it is definately tree wood!!!
Cheers and best wishes Michael R

    2. Ditto to include photo blanks, films, equipment and card meters etc.
    3. A roller with Leut Dreyer's initials carved int the handle and his phot wash box with his name.
    4. Close up of his roller and initials.
    5. Reverse of wash box and roller.
    6. Artificial Light Calculator (In English). One of several.

Hope these bits are of interest. Not strickly military but WWII German artifacts none-the-less.

Yup, that is probably it! Texas = Oil and Long Horns?? But I always thought Long Horns were bovine and not whatever goes into condoms??
Thank you for pointing these qualities out to me Dan.
