The newer goretex version of the cold weather cap in DPM. I have two of these and I use one for winter walking in the mountains

Helmet Mk6 with first pattern GS DPM cover, the cover dating to c. 1984/85 and the helmet to 1985.

I'll add some smocks and trousers if I get some better light for pics.

    Nice stuff both.

you know, I spent years and years hating this pattern.....and not touching it...but since it's "gone" I can't stop buying bits......but I have to admit I still can't tell one period from another......yet!

Glad to see other collectors out there who like DPM. I ticks a lot of boxes for me- its interesting, available, cheap and there is a huge variety of variations. I always like a DPM jacket with patches on. Here are a couple of nice ones from my collection. Fleet Protection Group, Royal Marines:

Question for you fellas, is there a way of decoding the contract numbers to determine a date?
