Hi folks - Just wanted to share a new project for a matching set of pistol cases with a "Battle of the Bulge" theme. I tried to include a lot of details relevant to the battle, including a map of the area around Bastogne, a copy of the German Surrender Letter and the American Response, and famous American and German division markings who fought in the battle.

I hope you find it interesting. I have other similar display projects on my FB page at https://www.facebook.com/CustomHistoricalDisplays/

I'm working on a couple new ones with an MG42 display being the one I'm most excited about.

Very nicely done. The sad thing about the battle of the Bulge is that the British involvement is rarely touched upon. There is a book now available which puts the record straight about the part we played, and it isn't a small part either! It most certainly wasn't an all American and German battle!

No disrespect intended to our friends in Britain Harry! My (modest) collection is all American and German, so that's where I focus my display work....the Brits are proudly featured in my D-Day case for their contributions on 6/6/44 on GOLD and SWORD - although I didn't have soil from their Airborne objectives so I couldn't include those :-(
