Thanks ccj, Yes!, they are very nice badges, and are quite rare and getting very expensive.
Mine still has the two pin attachment and is quite low numbered at 336.

Here are a few pictures of the helmet.
One must be very careful when buying one of these painted skull helmet, they been faked allot and I have seen lots of them sold as originals but this is the only original other than in a museum in Finland I have ever seen.
I searched for years to find this one .
It has been in the hands of many helmet collectors and all have the same opinion on its originality.

Amacing collection,and i know Finish items are VERY expencive and hard to find.
I sold my collection ten yers ago back to Finland,the highligt was a ribbon of 23 medals,and a skyddskår medal from the same major.
I collect only Swedish NS items.

Magicdutchmen, I can't find any stamps and the interior was changed to a Finnish type so thats why the extra rivets.
The two upper rivets hold in the liner and the lower larger rivet is for the chin strap.

Yes, as Brian writes old lids got new liners in Finland and therefore new holes were made.

Finland bought a huge load of helmets where ever those were available since there were lack of everything in here when Winter War started. We had them all regards to different models/types: Italian, Czech, Hungarian, Swedish and all German types from WW1 to WW2... And even some own production (Wärtsilä m/40) which was based on Swedish lid!

"Updating" helmets was the case first with "WW1 era" lids, before/during WW2. And then in the 1950's many WW2 era helmets got new liners & paint and again new rivet holes were made. Not all were changed/"updated" but it's pretty difficult to find a lid , no matter which type, from here in it's all original shape!
