Are they even made in Germany? To me, they look like something made, perhaps in the 60's by a private maker, from the crude workmanship they show. Half century old hand made home kiln products would certainly look similar to these in appearance today. I doubt they would have been allowed in TR Germany as they would certainly have been classified as "Kitsch".

These pottery helmets were made in Jersey, Channel Islands, by the Jersey Potteries and were sold as souvenirs at the gift shop at the German Underground Hospital (now called HO8, The War Tunnels). I am guessing but believe it too have been in the 1970's.
Other than that theres not a lot more to say about them.
All the best from Jersey,
D.

I agree with Damien. I have seen many of these for sale on eBay and have been offered a few from Jersey. They are simply tourist souvenirs unfortunately, you see pottery jugs for sale now with similar colours, firing and glazing techniques
Cheers

Nice collection and thanks for sharing I imagine these are hard to find on the internet auction sites because of the Nazi party emblem

They do seem to re-appear then disappear.. Haven't seen one for sale for quite a while now.
