Glass dome to protect black SS visor hat on display
Greetings. I have finally found a nice glass dome that is big enough to fit a visor hat. I like to be able to display my recently purchsed black visor without exposing it to dust, moths and other agents of harm. I hope the glass dome (actually a cake dome) will do just that. Optical distortion is quite minimal. Regards, Paul

Where are you guys getting these from, your grandma's house, lol?? I honestly think my grandma has the first example posted.
Very creative, and great display, Stuka.

Now that you have the visor, you need one of these! Such beauty deserves more than a cake cover IMO.
They're actually quite cheap, especially in comparison to the visor itself.
youthcollector would you mind directing me towards were these covers are readily available as I have a new acquisition on the way that will require protection from the elements.
And as my Grandmothers are long gone I fear I have lost my opportunity to own one of the cake covers although I must admit are a very good solution to the problem of protecting ones treasures

Sure thing; the case I posted is 100 dollars, but you can find them much cheaper via google. Just type in helmet display case in the search engine, and hundreds will pop-up.
As for the grandma comment, it was really meant to be a "old lady item" reference, as such items remind me of my elders possessions, but only as a joke. I actually think it's very creative, and a good idea. Sorry to heard your grandma is no longer with us, never an easy situation.
Anyways, here's the link sir.

Stuka bet me by a few seconds, and yes, that's the one.
