Not the Siegfried Line in this case! But my old washing line.

Here is an old photo from 2003. Since then I have bought many more tunics and we don't have a washing line any more. Ade needs to put me one back up.

But I thought you might like to see some of my WW2 ATS/FANY/MTC collection?

I will try and show each tunic in detail over time. I have featured some on the forum.

    Cheers, Lez.

Thanks Pat. I need to get Ade to take some more pics for me. He does them better than me.

Hiya Nick, the blue one is an ATS Hospital Blue BD. These were worn by women who were in hospital for treatment. Worn with a white shirt and the bright red tie. I do have a tie. The men also wore hospital blues. This goes back to the Great War I think?

    Cheers, Lez.

What a great collection Lez , what's the significance of the blue collar tab ??

Hiya Paul, the blouse with the blue tab is the special one made for the MTC. The Mechanised Transport Corps. I have two of these now. It was funny, I had bought one for £65 which I thought was a good price. Then we were at a show about a year later and a friend of ours had one for sale in a "junk" pile. He said "if you pair are interested it has to be rare?" He wanted to know what it was? He had it in a pile of kit all priced the same. Ade said he would tell him only after we paid for it. All in good fun and we got it for £5.

Hiya Dave, thank you. I will be in plaster for another month at least.

    Cheers, Lez.
