Here is a lowly piece of equipment for the German WWII small phone squad. The Abspuler device was used to roll out cable from the 17.5 cm reels (also rare) kept in the Fernsprechtornister. It was coupled with an Aufspuler device (even rarer than the first two items) that rolled up cable after use. There must have been thousands manufactured but just try to find one. It took me 6 years of scouring the web to find this one. Some confuse the self contained hand reel as a phone cable device but those were used for other purposes. They are not rare and I could probably purchase 10 today if I wanted them. I have no idea why these are so hard to locate. Not very sexy compared to other items here but rare and difficult to find! NH

Hi,

My relic Vickers Mk VII .303 rifle caliber for tankettes. Still a handful in the world.
Found in Somalia, in the ground under a cabin, in 1992 by a peacekeeping platoon.
Probably brought back there by Italian troops in WW2 and buried for 50 years.

A very rare item IMO, a company colour for the VIIIth company of the Welsh Guards, obviously only one for each of the Ten companies and in modern images only a few of them seem to still be in use.
