I have a number of unusual and rare items (although not necessarily desirable!).
A number of pieces from the escape and evasion part of my collection are very rare (Escape and Evasion / Survival aids - Silk maps and Escape Compasses + more!). I would suggest that the most rare are a series of silk maps of Northern Norway that were previously unrecorded and which I believe are linked to the sinking of the Tirpitz (I’m still researching this). I also have another series of silk maps that have marked and I believe they are related to the raid on the Vemork hydroelectric power plant (I’m still researching this as well). I also have a blood chit from a jungle escape kit of a type that I have never seen before and can’t find recorded.
From the few pieces I have of P.o.W memorabilia (The Allied Prisoner of War P.o.W Thread) I would say that the list/register of Prisoners of War who have been put on a work party or 'Kommando' is the rarest and I can’t imagine that many lung x-rays of P.o.W’s exist.
Uniform wise it’s probably the Canadian moccasins (WW2 Canadian Military issue moccasins)
Sundry items it’s probably the rubber weather balloon (Something you don't see everyday! WW2 RAF / USAAF weather balloon) or the newspaper stand posters (WW2 British Newsstand posters)
Photos in no particular order.
Why no comments ?
Id think a 109 stick very rare.
Obviously you lot don't know what it is

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
