Posting a small collection of medals to men who served in the Grat War.First up is a 1914 star trio to Pvt. George Meldrum 3022 of the 4th reserve battalion of the Connaught Rangers, George was a 33 y/o joiner from Church St, Sligo, Ireland, who would have had previous service in the Connaughts and was called up as a reservist at the outbreak of war in August 1914.He landed in France on the 7/10/14 and was killed in action on the sixth of November 1914 while serving with the 2nd Connaughts.
